When the parent company turns 100: Birthday party at Concordia
Celebrating a very special occasion

At the beginning of September, three colleagues from Fuchshuber Techno-Tex set off for Waregem, Belgium – with fine garments in their luggage and great anticipation in their hearts. The reason for their trip was a truly special one: Concordia Textiles, the parent company of Fuchshuber Techno-Tex, was celebrating its 100th anniversary.
Customers, partners and suppliers gathered to honor this milestone. A second celebration was held exclusively for Concordia’s employees – an event filled with pride, history and gratitude.

More than a celebration: A look at Concordia Textiles
Concordia Textiles is a vertically integrated manufacturer that masters every step of the production chain – from yarn creation to weaving, dyeing and printing, all the way to finishing, coating and lamination. This holistic approach makes Concordia a strong and reliable partner for demanding industries such as protective and workwear, sportswear, outdoor apparel and technical textiles.
With more than 1,200 employees worldwide, Concordia operates two European subsidiaries: Fuchshuber Techno-Tex in Lichtenstein-Unterhausen, Germany, and Estambril near Barcelona, Spain.

Successful mother-daughter relationship
Fuchshuber Techno-Tex has been part of the Concordia Group since 2017. When company founder Friedrich Fuchshuber began looking for a successor, whom he did not find within his own family, he chose to entrust his business to the Belgian family-owned enterprise – a company that, like his own, stands for quality, reliability and innovation.
Since then, the two companies have worked hand in hand in key areas such as research and development, assembly and marketing.
Joint trade fair appearances are also part of this close partnership.
Earlier this year, Fuchshuber updated its corporate identity to align visually with Concordia’s: a lighter shade of blue, more transparency and the curved “F” – reminiscent of a circular knitting machine – now link the two brands. The symbol aptly reflects Fuchshuber’s core expertise: advanced knitting technology for high-performance yarns. With deep process know-how, profound market insight and long-standing partnerships, Fuchshuber Techno-Tex remains a trusted name for sophisticated textile solutions.

Sustainability and circular economy
Concordia is committed to a consistent focus on innovation and sustainability. With its own research and development facilities and initiatives such as the Purfi recycling joint venture, Concordia is setting standards for the textile circular economy. Fuchshuber Techno-Tex is contributing its expertise and experience as a knitter of high-performance knitted fabrics to the Purfi project.
